These Terms of Business and my instruction sheet (which I shall usually email to you, or give you immediately before we meet and which I shall ask you to sign) together form the basis of my contract with you for any work I do for you, including my minimum fee for notarising a straightforward document. I will give you an estimate, including third party fees and expenses, before we meet, based on facts as you state them. I do not have to charge VAT.

My charges (including any third party payments I may have to make on your behalf) are payable at the time of our meeting, unless I agree otherwise. I reserve the right not to release documents before payment is made.

In unusual cases I may need to qualify my notarisation, if there are facts I am unable to verify and a document may not be acceptable abroad in such a case. I undertake such work only on the basis that you accept that possibility.

Except so far as excluded by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, my liability for any loss, injury or damage of any nature whatever, whether direct or consequential, including (without limitation) in respect of negligence or breach of duty of care is limited to £750,000.00 in respect of any one claim or series of related claims.
